Tests were performed in Gulf of Bothnia in different ice conditions to define the icebreaking capabilities of the vessel. The tests performed included for example going ahead and astern in level ice and channel, turning circle tests and ice ridge penetration. The vessel has open water bulbous bow which can break ice by bending ice upwards when bow draught is selected suitably.
